Who May Apply?

  • Holders of relevant full-time Higher Nitec/CBS/ITC and full-time Nitec/NTC-2 (taken in Singapore)
  • Final semester graduating full-time ITE students, including those from the Direct-Entry-Scheme to Polytechnic Programme (DPP)

For the relevant certificates awarded by ITE that are recognised for admission to the full-time diploma courses:


Those who have Higher Nitec or Nitec International qualifications (attained overseas), previously attended courses at or graduated from a local University or Polytechnic are NOT eligible to apply under the JPAE. If they do so, their applications will be invalidated.

When to Apply?

Joint Polytechnic Admissions Exercise (JPAE) application will open from 24 Feb 2020, 9am to 28 Feb 2020, 4pm.

How to Apply?

Apply online at the Joint Polytechnic Admissions Exercise website.

In the application, applicants are allowed to submit up to 8 course choices for which the applicants are eligible for.

Posting Procedure

Selection based on:

  • Applicants are posted a course based on merit according to their net GPA. Applicants with better GPA will be considered for admission first, subject to the availability of vacancies in the selected course.

Posting Results


The academic term of Temasek Polytechnic for AY2020/2021 will commence on 20 April 2020. In view of the COVID-19 situation, successful ITE applicants will receive their e-enrolment package via email on 9 April 2020, 3pm onwards.

If you wish to accept the JPAE offer, please login to to complete the online enrolment by the deadline stated in the enrolment notice; the offer will lapse after the acceptance deadline.
