Meet TP’s “side-hustlers” three—Sasha, Isa and Shruti!

Sasha jumps at any opportunity to make a difference in the lives of those in need. That's why she volunteered to join TP's Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) Committee when it was formed two years ago.

"I'm so proud that our little task force is reviving the TPCares spirit. We hope to keep bringing the TP family meaningful volunteering opportunities and spread smiles to the less fortunate in our community," she said.

One such opportunity was April 2022's Project Refresh. Despite screaming each time a baby lizard appeared and ruining her sneakers by stepping into a paint tray, she would suit up with fellow TP peeps again in a heartbeat just to see the delight on the homeowners' faces!

Next up on CSR's cards are the Adopt-a-Block initiative and organising a learning journey for the Pertapis Centre for Women and Girls (PCWG) in December. Find out more about our CSR here.

After participating as a co-speaker for SQD’s Innovation & Productivity Webinar in October 2020, Isa believed that the sharing session had created awareness and interest about digitalisation among colleagues.

Two years on, Isa continues to give back to his colleagues as a mentor under TP’s Digital Mentoring Programme. As a mentor, he readily shares his knowledge and experiences of using RPA and process automation using Microsoft 365 apps—and enjoys meeting and helping colleagues across TP looking to level up their digital skills and knowledge.

“Never be afraid to try and think out of the box,” he said. Wise words indeed, Isa!

Did you know that other TP digital mentors, like Isa, are looking forward to sharing what they know with you? It's time to maximise your skills and improve your productivity using MS Teams, Tableau, Excel, Photoshop, and more. Find out more the Digital Mentoring Programme here!

With her background and experience as an architect working on sustainable building designs, including being a sustainability consultant, it’s no wonder Shruti and the TP Eco Campus Committee (TPECC) are made for each other!

Her introduction to TPECC was taking a fun-filled learning journey with like-minded colleagues to the Semakau Landfill. Ever since that eye-opening, first-hand experience about our nation’s waste management, Shruti and the rest of TPECC have been working hard to get TP staff and students to embrace sustainable ways of living.

“Adopting environmental sustainability, to contribute even the smallest ways possible provides me with purpose and satisfaction,” said Shruti.

If you wish to kick-start your green journey, Shruti extends this invitation to you: “Come and join us for the return of the TP Tree Planting Day. This collaboration between TP and NParks will be held on 8 November 2022.” Our calendars are marked—we’ll see you there!
