Specialist Diploma in Integrated Digital Communication

The advertising landscape has evolved beyond mere creative and stylistic execution, thus it is necessary to encompass strategic appropriation of multi-channels, content creation, user interface and experience. This Specialist Diploma in Integrated Digital Communication will expose participants to a wider range of knowledge areas to formulate and execute an effective campaign for an ever-changing economy. It also includes analytical and rational implementation of strategies to engage consumers with different media applications. Techniques on applying conceptual thinking, methodologies, and processes in the creation of an effective integrated advertising campaign will be the mainstay of the course.

What You Will Learn

Learn different aspects of social media from content strategies to viral videos. Understand best practices for each social media and learn how to build relationship between brands and consumers.


Learn the strategic thinking behind every advertising work.  You will gain insights into consumer behaviours and develop ideas from a creative brief.  Bring your idea into production and engage consumers in the ever-changing media spaces of new platforms

Modes of Assessment

The subjects in this course are either examination or non-examination based, incorporating both formative and summative assessments. The assessment framework may include class participation, quizzes, assignments, projects, term test and semester examinations.

Minimum Entry Requirements

 At least a Polytechnic diploma in a design-related course, or equivalent;

 Holders of other equivalent academic qualifications from foreign institutions will be considered on a case-by-case basis.

Applicants who do not meet the entry requirements may be considered for admission to the course based on evidence of at least 5 years of relevant working experience or supporting evidence of competency readiness. Suitable applicants who are shortlisted may have to go through an interview and/or entrance test. The Polytechnic reserves the right to shortlist and admit applicants.
