This Specialist Diploma in Corporate Secretarial Practice is a 12-month work-study programme offered under the SkillsFuture Earn & Learn Programme (ELP). It aims to equip participants with the knowledge and skills to better support and service clients in the corporate service provider sector and be effective company secretaries. The knowledge and skills acquired will enhance their job relevance and employability.

Target Participants

Singaporeans or Singapore Permanent Residents who are fresh Polytechnic graduates from relevant full-time courses of study.

Career Opportunities

At the entry level, the job position is a Corporate Secretarial Officer/Associate1. Upon completing the course under the Earn and Learn Programme, graduates can look forward to taking up some of the possible types of positions1:

  • Corporate Secretarial Executive
  • Corporate Secretarial Manager
  • Assistant Company Secretary
  • Company Secretary

ELP graduates may also look forward to wage increment and role expansion in their workplace, subject to their work performance. In addition, ELP graduates who are company secretaries applying to become a chartered member of the Chartered Secretaries Institute of Singapore (CSIS) will be exempted from 4 of the modules required to be taken by CSIS.

The ELP Programme is scheduled to commence in every April and/or October.

Course Duration

ELP participants will undergo a 12-month structured training programme, including facilitated learning, e-learning, and on-job-training (OJT).

Only for Singapore Citizens who are fresh ITE or Polytechnic graduates hired by Participating Companies and officially commenced ELP within 3 years of graduation or ORD.
