The Memosyeum is an archive for taxidermy-inspired feminine fashion apparel and accessories. Each collection translates the distinct design elements reflecting the form and characteristics of a chosen species into wearable specimens, expressing them through different silhouettes, textures, colours, and construction techniques to offer a variety of styles.

Each specimen feels like a fragment of decaying nature, beautifully preserved through its design. Engraved with philosophical themes that explore the myriad chapters that one may encounter during their lifetime.

Remaining hopeful in a world that no longer feels worthy of it feels paradoxical. Yet to push boundaries, embrace freedom, and seek possibility in every direction is to live a life defined by one’s own terms. This is what The Memosyeum exists to support. As the inevitable arrives and life flashes before one’s eyes, the memories one sees will be of a life lived with pride, ending its story with no regrets.

The Memosyeum came to me instinctively when I began thinking about the theme for my Major Project.

Before enrolling in Apparel Design & Merchandising, I had intended to pursue Veterinary Technology with the hope of becoming a taxidermist. That fascination with the art of preserving animals is what led to this concept.

Not being accepted into the course initially left me feeling lost. My early years in polytechnic were marked by uncertainty and moments of self-doubt as I questioned whether I truly belonged. While the journey was not easy, those struggles became a turning point. This final assignment gave me the space to channel those emotions and reflect on how far I have come.

To me, design means more than just a project. It has become a vessel for my passions, my doubts, and my growth.
