Marionette, named after the French word for 'String Puppet', aims to reframe the idea of 'being performative'.

In a world obsessed with perfection, we polish our surfaces until they gleam—smile when told, dress for the gaze, and pose inside invisible glass cages. Maison Marionette is a quiet rebellion against that stillness. Our question is simple: if beauty has become performance, who holds the strings? In reclaiming this control, Marionette designs inside this paradox: garments that are both armoury and confession, composed yet candid, allowing the wearer to set the terms of visibility.

I enjoy playing with storytelling in various niches. Throughout my design journey, I have explored a multitude of fashion concepts, but one thing I always return to is the concept of “power of clothing”. For my project, I was particularly inspired by the ideologies of authority and identity, as well as the emotional tension that exists within contemporary womanhood.

My design language blends soft romanticism with subtle restraint, balancing delicate details with sculptural silhouettes. I see my garments as characters within a story, each piece expressing a mood or a moment. Through my work, I aim to create pieces that feel introspective yet expressive, inviting the wearer to inhabit their own evolving narrative.
