A strong community creates a sense of belonging, trust, support, and safety, forming an invisible social fabric that people often rely on without realising it. Today, many find it difficult to recreate this sense of connection, not because they do not care, but because interacting with neighbours has become socially awkward and emotionally demanding, often feeling like a long-term commitment. As a result, people choose distance, even though they still desire the comfort and security that community provides.
Knots & Ties responds to this tension by exploring how simple actions can reduce the awkwardness of interaction and help people recognise the value of community. It views each interaction as a thread, where repeated moments of connection form knots and ties that gradually make up the community.

As a graduating student from TP School of Design, I look forward to opportunities to put what I have learnt into practical use. In the past years, I have had exposure to Branding, Packaging Design, Visual Identity, and UI/UX Design. Here are some interesting facts about me. I listen to a wide range of music—from the Beatles to The Weeknd, and from Teresa Teng to JJ Lin! I also play the drums, was the leader of my school band, participated in the 2021 SYF, and won 2 Distinctions. My hobbies include skiing and fishing.
