As Singapore continues to change, familiar everyday spaces quietly disappear, taking with them the small, personal memories that once gave them meaning. These losses often go unrecognised, leaving youths with emotional residue but no space to acknowledge or release it.
(un)marked is a campaign centred on a reflective digital platform that creates conditions for place-based memories to be briefly held, shared, and gently let go of. Rather than preserving memories permanently, the platform temporarily gathers small memory fragments into an evolving mapping system that acknowledges their significance before they fade. In doing so, it reveals how time and development reshape our patterns of attachment to space. The focus shifts away from documentation towards recognition, acknowledgement, and acceptance.

Hi, Charlene here! I’m someone who’s endlessly curious about people and the things we don’t say out loud. I design with emotions in mind, paying close attention to the small behaviours, quiet thoughts, and hidden patterns that shape how we move through life. I especially love storytelling that gently sparks conversation and invites reflection.
To me, design isn’t just about making things look good. It’s about crafting thoughtful experiences that help people feel understood. I aim to blend empathy with strategy to create work that comforts, connects, and offers a fresh perspective on their own stories.
