Say It Your Way explores how love and gratitude are expressed within Singaporean families. While care is often present at home, emotional expression can fade with familiarity, leaving everyday acts of love unnoticed or unreciprocated. This project addresses the gap between intention and expression by reframing love through the five love languages, with a focus on quiet, indirect gestures commonly practised in Asian households.

The outcome is an interactive family festival supported by a mobile application, where participants engage in reflective activities represented by familiar household objects. Through shared experiences, guided prompts, and light interactions, families are encouraged to recognise, appreciate, and reciprocate the love that already exists at home. Rather than instructing families on how to love, the project creates a safe, non-awkward space for emotional awareness and reconnection. Ultimately, Say It Your Way aims to restore warmth at home by empowering young adults to initiate gratitude and affection in ways that feel natural to them.

Hi there, I’m Cheryl! :D

I am a designer who strongly believes that great design should make people feel something. I’m especially drawn to illustration and visual storytelling, where I can turn ideas into expressive, character-driven visuals that bring stories to life. I’m detail-oriented, curious, and always excited by fresh ideas, whether that means exploring new styles, refining a concept, or collaborating with others to create meaningful and eye-catching brand experiences.
