Our Common Ground is a social campaign-led program initiative for youths aged 18–35 who want to connect in person, but just don’t know where or how to anymore. In a city where everything feels digital, transactional, or overly curated, it’s hard to find spaces that feel authentic and appealing, especially those made with the youth in mind.
This project reimagines connection through a series of social activations on the common grounds we pass every day: pop-up trail event, bus rides, and DIY hangout booths, built by youths, for youths. At the heart of it is a belief that real connection doesn’t need to be big or deep all the time, just human and spontaneous! Using volunteering and co-creation as entry points, the programme helps youths take ownership of how they want to show up and be with others.
Because when connection feels more like culture and less like a chore, people actually start showing up.
