Sexual education remains a sensitive and often neglected topic in many Singaporean families. Many parents believe their children are too young to learn about it, leading to silence at home. As a result, youths turn to the internet or unreliable sources, which increase the risk of misinformation and unsafe self-discovery.

At FirstTalk, we believe the first person a child turns to should be their parent. Parents play a crucial role in shaping their child’s understanding as they grow. We want to empower parents with the confidence to initiate honest, age-appropriate conversations about sexual education without fear or embarrassment for kids at a young age.

In collaboration with Parent Gateway, FirstTalk reaches parents more effectively by providing accessible resources and guidance. This is supported by an interactive pop-up that helps parents learn techniques to communicate more confidently with their children. A take-home toy and activity book to further encourage stress-free and casual conversations at home to support ongoing, meaningful conversations beyond the experience.
