Yangon is a city slowly fading from the world’s attention, often reduced to memories of the past or overlooked entirely.
The City of Yangon is an attempt to rediscover Yangon by looking beyond its monuments and political narratives, and instead focusing on the everyday life that continues to shape the city. Through a new visual identity, the project imagines Yangon as a living place carried by its people, youth, and daily rhythms, and repositions the city as relevant, present, and still moving forward, with the hope that one day it will be seen again as a peaceful city shaped by continuity rather than conflict.
