The Other Side of Living is a people-centred, integrated campaign that promotes death literacy by challenging the common belief that death is an external force that breaks life, leading us to turn away from the very conversations that allow us to acknowledge and celebrate the life we share. This avoidance does not spare pain; instead, it causes us to miss opportunities for emotional closure and connection near the end of life.
In response, this project approaches death not as a rupture, but a ripple within living. By centring real voices and shared experiences, The Other Side of Living builds emotional and cultural literacy around death, affirming that this side of living exists and that speaking about it is an act of love. Through a layered campaign spanning public spaces and digital storytelling, this project makes room for conversations we avoid and offers a place for grief to go.
