Life On Land

Peak Pavilion is a captivating bird-watching space and gathering area where bird enthusiasts and nature lovers share their experiences, creating memories together that raise awareness of nature.

It provides a memorable experience for bird enthusiasts and nature lovers within the heart of Marang Road. It encourages the public to discover the beauty of nature by first attracting nature enthusiasts to gather in groups and share their hobbies, aiming that they will bring their friends and families into these interest groups as well, which more people will have more knowledge towards nature and birds as the targeted focus of animal in this project. The main programmes in Peak Pavilion include bird-watching areas, meeting areas where events can be held, and bird/nature enthusiasts can discuss their findings and share their experiences. There are bird photography exhibitions and a cafe where visitors can gather. The main scheme uses warm tones and natural elements such as bamboo and vinyl. As the exterior of the site is surrounded by forest and hiking trails, my concept is intended to make the interior enclosed, giving off the atmosphere of the life of birds being enclosed in a bird cage by making the building's walls and panels made out of bamboos intertwined together to create the birds nest' like texture.
