The Sanctuary aims to provide working adults with a space where they can relax, refresh, and revitalise themselves while also taking a breather from society's hectic work habits and lifestyle. Taking the landscape opportunity of the site at Mount Faber, The Sanctuary integrates warmth in the interior spaces by using different tones of wood and materials found in nature to bring users a sense of calmness and tranquillity.

I aim to understand how users would want the space to feel and how users would feel in the space before designing them. When designing spaces, my philosophy would always be centred around designing something aesthetically pleasing and, at the same time, being practically useful. I am fascinated by how wood textures can be complemented with other colours and materials to allow the design to stand out and achieve what the users would want to feel in the space. I am also interested and willing to learn how different materials can work together in a space to evoke new emotions out of the space from a user standpoint.
