Sustainable Cities and Communities

The Harbor's Inn is a cafe, vegetable farm, and farm stay space that aims to educate people on the benefits of growing our food sustainably. Through experiences such as learning how to harvest and prep vegetables for cooking and being able to cook their food, the Inn hopes to encourage visitors to start growing their food in the comfort of their homes. For visitors looking for a break from the city's scenery, the FarmStay Space offers them the experience of living in a lush and green outdoor community space.

The most fulfilling aspect of designing spaces for people is stepping into the users' shoes to understand their vision and perspectives of a space. I believe that design can bring people together to create communities through shared interests and hobbies, which is why it is important to understand the feelings and opinions of people I design for. While being able to create design solutions through online statistics and facts is effective, having empathy for those who intend to use the spaces I design is equally important to me.
