House Re

Category
Responsible Consumption and Production

In Singapore, where 98% of textile and leather waste is either incinerated or dumped in landfills, House Re serves as a hub to curb the percentage. The facility undergoes operations to take in textile waste and turn it into new, fashionable garments for retail markets and exhibitions. This way, not only are we using preloved clothing and scrap textiles, but we are also promoting responsible and sustainable production and consumerism.

I enjoy transforming spaces into a whole new experience for my users. I believe in the importance of balancing practicality and visual aesthetics to fit the purpose of the space. I am passionate about designing interior spaces and landscapes as I enjoy bringing life through carefully selecting colours, textures, and forms. I step out of my comfort zone in design as much as possible and push myself into trying and exploring new styles I usually would not go for. I see the pros and cons in different designs and styles and always try to go for an excellent blend to achieve the best results I can.
