A Harvest for Growth

Category
Sustainable Cities and Communities

A Harvest for Growth is a community-centred design addressing sustainability in urban living. Rooted in daily habits, the design embraces the lifestyle of our ancestors. It seeks to strengthen community connections through shared experiences. As people often gather over food and drinks, it inevitably leads to food wastage in Singapore despite the city's demand for increased food production. Leveraging the site at 41 Marang Road, embedded within nature, sustainable practices nurture local crops and build resilient bonds. The vision: a thriving community ingrained with shared values, where sustainability and interconnected relationships flourish.

Design has always allowed me to give back to the world through creativity and problem-solving. Designing to improve the lives of people, nature, and the environment is a fundamental aspect close to my heart when undertaking projects. As a student, I constantly seek ways to improve my skill set and expand my knowledge.

At the heart of my design philosophy lies the belief that great design starts with empathy and a keen eye for aesthetics. I approach projects with a deep understanding of their purpose to provide solutions that resonate with the needs of people and the environment. I believe in collaboration and innovation to shape a more holistic outcome in the design industry.
