Offline Traverse seeks to restore the importance of children’s play as a foundation for the holistic development of future generations. Due to the difficulty of balancing work-life and parenting, children today rely heavily on digital devices and media as a new form of entertainment. This situation will lead to easy alteration of attention span and emotional patterns, which will further result in a decline in their social, mental, and physical health. Hence, my project introduces exploratory and sensory design for children to rediscover their curiosity and creativity through various activities throughout the space.

My design approach explores how spatial design and connections affect a user’s experience within a space. I am interested in designing spaces that are significant to target users and in exploring how textures, detailing, and lighting can improve the user experience.
