As Singapore modernises, traditional snacks are fading from everyday family life, creating a cultural gap between generations. Flavours On The Roll is an interactive tabletop experience that reconnects families with local snack heritage through play. Inspired by traditional snack carts, the game blends roleplay, physical interaction, and learning. Players build obstacles reflecting real-world challenges to snack culture and race to collect ingredients to recreate local treats. Through this process, they discover preparation methods, ingredients, and cultural stories. By transforming heritage into a shared, playful activity, the experience fosters conversation, reflection, and renewed appreciation for Singapore’s traditional snack culture.

Hi, I’m Cheryl, a student product designer who enjoys creating thoughtful and engaging experiences through hands-on prototyping and experimentation. Growing up with a strong interest in handmade crafts, I developed a love for building, testing, and refining ideas through making. My design approach focuses on understanding people and refining meaningful interactions with careful attention to detail, while continuously embracing creative challenges and learning new tools and perspectives. Beyond design work, I enjoy exploring new crafts, collecting quirky trinkets and finding inspiration in unexpected places.
