The Sea Remembers is an interactive game that brings the story of the Orang Seletar to life through play. Shaped like a wooden boat hull inspired by their close relationship with water, the experience unfolds across three stages: the mangroves, the open sea, and the present-day village. Players tilt a miniature sampan through water to explore how the community lived and relied on the sea from the 19th century to the 1920s. Through tactile interaction and storytelling, the game builds cultural awareness and empathy, offering an engaging way to understand their heritage and evolving way of life.

Storytelling

I’m a creative who is passionate about storytelling and making experiences feel personal and engaging. I enjoy exploring culture, identity, and emotion through design, turning ideas into interactive and meaningful outcomes. For me, design is about creating moments that connect people to something bigger than themselves, whether that’s heritage, community, or shared memory. I’m especially drawn to expressive mediums like hand-drawn art and video editing, where I can bring stories to life visually and emotionally.
