Yes, it is compulsory for all full time diploma Singapore Citizen (SC) students/ Singapore Permanent Resident (SPR) or International Student (IS) who wish to apply for TG to submit the TG form together with your enrolment forms.
If you are a new student enrolled to the Polytechnic in this semester and do not wish to apply for TG, please indicate your intention not to apply for TG in Checklist B.
Please read and follow the instructions on the form carefully for completion of TG Option form. If you are not eligible, please declare accordingly by ticking 3rd box of the TG Option form.
If you do not wish to apply for TG, you need not submit the TG Option form. For a new student enrolled to the Polytechnic in this semester, please tick on Checklist B “I do not wish to apply for TG.”
If you do not wish to apply for TG or are not eligible for TG, you are to pay full fees.
If you are still eligible for TG in any of the subsequent semester, you are allowed to apply for TG. You have to complete the execution of TG Agreement with MOE before TG is granted to you.
You are required to :
a) submit a fresh TG Option Form (Singapore Permanent Resident (SPR) / International Students (IS) and deposit the duly completed form in the “Financial Forms” box outside Student Services or next to the entrance of “Student Finance & Collection" located at Finance & Administration, Administration Block 9, Level 1, behind Lift Lobby D by the first day of next semester.
b) attend the Tuition Grant Briefing session;
c) complete the submission of online application for Tuition Grant (TG) at Ministry of Education (MOE)'s website;
d) complete the execution of TG Agreement with MOE by the stipulated deadline announced at Tuition Grant (TG) Eligibility under Question 5 for the next semester.
Please note that even if you opt in for TG in the next semester, you are still required to secure employment and serve in a Singapore entity for 3 years upon graduation.
Full fee paying students may not be eligible to apply for Financial Schemes.
