Wine shopping made easy with interactive humanoid robot at Changi Airport

In collaboration with TP, DFS Singapore, and SoftBank Telecom Singapore (STS), the Changi Airport Group (CAG) launched an interactive humanoid robot, Pepper, that will help arriving passengers with picking wines in a fun and easy way at Changi Airport’s Terminal 2 Arrival Hall DFS liquor store! This partnership came about from CAG's insights on many arriving passengers wanting to buy duty-free wines, but do not know where to start due to the huge selection of wines available. TP School of Business were the brains behind the development of the concise questionnaire which would obtain key information from the shopper on his/her palate and preferences. The robot was then brought to life by TP’s Computer Engineering students who were on SIP with STS, and had the invaluable opportunity of coding the application to make the robot more interactive.
