Students will work on cryptography puzzles and in the process will learn how cryptography is used to keep information safe online. Students will also learn about malware, the harm they can cause, how to recognize them and how to prevent computers from being attacked by malware. They will also participate in a malware quiz before they end the workshop.

Students will learn how data can help uncover interesting information about people and situations. They will also participate in activities to create their own visualisation of data that is shared with them or data that they create. This is a series of three workshops conducted by Temasek Polytechnic School of Business to help your students discover how business can be fun and why fun means business!

 

Workshop 1 – It’s all about food… from print to screen*
Behind every dish, there is a recipe. Behind every food stall, there are rules. Your students will explore all things legal about food. Behind every food documentary on TV, there is a marketing strategy. They will also explore how to produce a trailer.

Workshop 2 – Do you know your food?*
Do you know how your food came about? Do you know how food becomes an experience? Do you know how much it costs? Let your students journey through the origins of our popular Singapore street food such as chicken rice, prata, and nasi lemak and experience the ins and outs of planning and costing a food event.

Workshop 3 – Annyeonghaseyo Singapore!* 
Korean food has taken the world by storm and Singapore is no exception. Discover how you can bring local cuisines to the rest of the world by using the Business Model Canvas. You will learn how to start, operate and market a business on a global scale.
