Develop specialised software skills in virtual design such as Building Information Modelling (BIM) and bioclimatic simulations to conceptualise designs by predicting building performance.

Equip yourself with skill-sets in Mechanical and Electrical (M&E) systems coupled with automation technologies for energy efficiency in our dedicated Integrative Built Environment Centre (IBEC).
Competing against participants from local and overseas universities, our students were shortlisted finalists in 2021 and 2020, and won a Merit award in 2017. Each year, our enthusiastic students take pride in showcasing their proficiency in Building Information Modelling (BIM), computational design and sustainability as part of their final-year project.
Amidst the current COVID-19 endemic, our students and staff found the opportunity to innovate solutions for the new normal and won funding to develop their product ideas in connection with TP’s Clean Energy Research Centre (CERC). One of them mentioned, “The thought of having an idea become a reality still feels surreal!”
Collaborating with industry experts in architecture (WeCreate Studio & PROSE Architects), and sustainable design (Earth-in-mind Pte Ltd), our students worked on bioclimatic simulations to design a comfortable environment with a human-centric design for an open competition to find ideal candidates for a job. The team won the contest and clinched the venture.
