Through a core module, INNOVA, TP students learn all they need to know about innovation and entrepreneurship, from ideation to crowdfunding. There are also structured programmes for students and alumni to refine their business ideas and work towards market launch.
Our students also benefit from Temasek Launchpad, a one-stop innovation and entrepreneurship hub at TP. It provides comprehensive programmes and facilities to nurture and hone entrepreneurial skills and mindsets. Since its inception in 2018, over 200 students and alumni have received incubation support here.

COVID-19 has changed the way we shop, with livestreaming projected to become part of the future of e-commerce. ThriveLive, founded by Diploma in Marketing alumna Sherlynn (left) and her friends Joey and Shervonne, rides on this livestreaming wave where it creates an augmented shopping experience for buyers and sellers. This livestream e-commerce app opens up the opportunity of live shopping and selling to everyone, essentially creating an ecosystem within an app. Check out our Open House schedule for some livestream sessions with them!
As a food scientist, Ramesh (right) was motivated to revolutionise the way consumers see food, nutrition, and traditional medicine in Singapore. The Diploma in Applied Food Science & Nutrition alumnus started Asmara to spearhead and pioneer the development of high-quality and functional health products for Singaporeans and the global consumer market.
Asmara has won several awards and attracted $1,000,000 seed funding from investors.
XXV, the brainchild of Lutfil Hadi, came about when he was looking for ways to engage and celebrate TP’s 25th anniversary. Then president of his diploma’s interest group, the Diploma in Business Intelligence & Analytics alumnus and the executive committee decided to sell t-shirts. A resounding success among students, it prompted the brand to further expand its range.
Today, XXV has expanded its business, working with other polytechnics and startups at TP. Their most recent project is their foray into designer-centric streetwear, OffCampus.
Have you snacked on some Kettle Gourmet popcorn lately? After graduating from TP with his diploma in Accounting & Finance, Zac Chua built a sizeable portfolio from investments during his university days. He then challenged himself to start his own F&B company. He has now put his accounting career plans on hold and dedicated himself full-time to transforming his passion for popcorn into a successful business. In July 2017, The Kettle Gourmet was born – and the rest, as they say, is history.
