The Centre for Communication Skills (CCS) equips full-time TP students, working adults and industry partners with effective communication, critical thinking, customer service, language proficiency and personal development skills that will prepare them for the workplace. We also work closely with overseas partner institutions to conduct Technical English and Business English programmes for their students.
For TP, CCS offers the following four subjects under the TP Fundamentals suite of subjects:

In addition to teaching full-time TP students, we conduct customised corporate training for organisations who wish to upgrade their employees' communication skills to stay relevant and competitive in the business environment.
The Centre for Communication Skills also provides support services to students in search of assistance for communication skills developmental needs.
To attain success at work, it is important to be an effective communicator. We provide support and advice to students on ways to enhance their oral and written communication skills.

At the Centre for Communication Skills (CCS), we believe in the importance of skills upgrading for individuals to stay competent and to equip every individual with relevant skills and knowledge to embrace the changing times.
As part of our initiative to encourage continuous training and development, we offer customised courses and workshops in the areas of effective communication, critical thinking, customer service, digital storytelling, writing for the digital media, language proficiency and personal development.
Our clientele includes public service and government agencies, hospitality, tourism, retail and service organisations, offshore oil and gas companies, and technical institutes of higher learning in Japan. In addition, we’ve also conducted training workshops on English Language and Communication Skills for government officials in Indonesia, Lao People's Democratic Republic, Myanmar and Vietnam.
