Course Overview

The subject covers extensive applications and useful advanced features of spreadsheet and database tools. The hands-on lab sessions enable students to embrace business information technologies to function and contribute effectively in an increasingly technologically driven workplace. Students will learn how to integrate useful advanced features of spreadsheet and database tools to support business operations.

 

 

Objectives

 

The subject aims to equip students with knowledge and skills to:

  • prepare and analyze spreadsheets
  • prepare, manage business databases and create a simple database application
  • integrate essential office automation applications to aid in business decision-making.

Entry Requirements

Applicants applying for modular units which are drawn from existing full diploma or post-diploma programmes will have the same minimum entry requirements as the full qualifications.
