Course Overview

This course introduces students to the process of designing, writing, testing, debugging and maintaining the source code of typical computer programs that are used in modern avionic systems.  A brief introduction to the software management control process required for the airworthiness of avionic systems will be covered.

 

 

Objectives

 

Students will be able to

  1. Acquire fundamental knowledge and software design techniques and skills to solve problems; and
  2. Perform software design, debug and test

Entry Requirements

Applicants applying for modular units which are drawn from existing full diploma or post-diploma programmes will have the same minimum entry requirements as the full qualifications.

Upon successful completion of the modular course, students will be issued a Statement of Result, which can count towards the attainment of the Diploma in Engineering (Aerospace).
