Course Overview

This subject covers the fundamentals of CM including key CM principles, types of crises, CM strategy, establishment of the CM team, CM leadership, managing the various stages of a crisis, development of a CM Plan, testing and exercise. 

 

Objectives

The aims of this subject are to provide students with the skills and knowledge to:

 

  • Utilise basic Crisis Management (CM) principles
  • Identify the various types and causes of a Crisis
  • Apply basic CM leadership principles
  • Establish the CM Policy
  • Develop the CM Plan
  • Test the CM Plan

Entry Requirements

Applicants applying for modular units which are drawn from existing full diploma or post-diploma programmes will have the same minimum entry requirements as the full qualifications.

Upon successful completion of the modular course, students will be issued the Statement of Result which can count towards the attainment of the Diploma in Engineering (Aviation Management).
