The subject will be taught through workshop sessions. The workshops will be used to teach and enable students to apply industry-recognised practices. E-learning resources will be used where appropriate to complement lessons.
Modes of Assessment
Formative assessments will be conducted through the use of questions and answers during workshop sessions. The feedback given will help students to assess their understanding of the content delivered and to correct errors in their implementation. Students would be expected to act on the feedback and tutors will look out for evidence of improvements in the subsequent workshop sessions.
The summative assessment is based on 100% continuous assessment. The continuous assessment includes a project and a test. Details are as follows:
1) Project: A project will be used to assess the students’ practical knowledge in applying the Fintech and Financial Services principles. The students are required to justify their proposed solutions in their project presentation.
2) Test: A test will be used to assess the students’ understanding of the theoretical concepts taught.
Certification
Upon successful completion of the modular unit, students will be issued the Statement of Result which can count towards the attainment of the Specialist Diploma in Financial Analytics.
