Course Overview

The subject aims to introduce students to the fundamental concepts of mediation and counseling so as to help students understand the role of mediators and counsellors and the ethical issues related to mediation and counselling. It also aims to equip students with basic practical skills in mediation and counselling so that they will be able to handle simple mediation and counselling cases.

 

 

Objectives

 

This subject covers an introduction to concepts and theories in Mediation and Counselling.  Students will also be taught basic mediation and counselling skills relevant to their course of work through hands-on training workshops with real-life simulated disputes and problems.

Entry Requirements

Applicants applying for modular units which are drawn from existing full diploma or post-diploma programmes will have the same minimum entry requirements as the full qualifications.
