Course Overview

This subject introduces the Operational Technology (OT) hardware, software & network cybersecurity issues and resolutions. This also includes the various OT cybersecurity standards to meet industry needs and government compliance.

 

 

Objectives

 

The aim of this subject is to equip students with the knowledge and skills to secure an Information Technology/Operation Technology (IT/OT) system and response to a security incident for the medical and manufacturing context.  It also aims to provide students with exposure to different types of medical/manufacturing industries.

Entry Requirements

Applicants applying for modular units which are drawn from existing full diploma or post-diploma programmes will have the same minimum entry requirements as the full qualifications.

Modes of Assessment

 

The summative assessment is based on 100% continuous assessment. The continuous assessment will include an individual case study, written and practical tests.

 

 

Certification

 

Upon successful completion of the modular unit, students will be awarded a Statement of Result which can count towards the attainment of the following: 

Specialist Diploma in Industrial Informatics

Specialist Diploma in Medical Technology and Informatics

Step 2 - Select UEP - Modular – Specialist Diploma in Industrial Informatics or UEQ - Modular – Specialist Diploma in Medical Technology and course commencement date.

Step 3 - Enter personal, qualification, employment and sponsoring details (if applicable).

Step 4 - Select, rank your preference for the selected subject(s) and indicate the number of subject(s) you wish to take. Please note that the subject start date(s) denotes the semester start date.

Step 5 - Make a declaration and submit the online application.
