Course Overview

This subject covers basic understanding of accounting and finance concepts. It includes the double-entry system of bookkeeping, preparation of financial statements, analysis of financial statements using ratios, and sources and allocation of funds.





The subject aims to equip students with basic knowledge and skills to:

  • Read, understand and interpret basic financial statements.
  • Explain the main sources and allocation of funds for a business enterprise.

Entry Requirements

Applicants applying for modular units which are drawn from existing full diploma or post-diploma programmes will have the same minimum entry requirements as the full qualifications.
