Course Overview

The subject aims to provide an overview of business communication. It aims to equip students with skills in report writing and oral presentations. The subject aims at enabling students to write logical reports and make appropriate recommendations to solve problems, as well as deliver professional presentations.

 

 

Objectives

 

Students will be provided with skills on how to prepare, plan and write investigative reports using case notes, and present information relevantly and succinctly using appropriate visuals. They will also draw inferences based on data and make suitable recommendations on how to solve problems addressed in the report. In addition, they will cite relevant sources and provide references.

 

For oral presentation, students will plan, prepare and deliver oral presentations that are professional and audience-centered. They will also be trained on how to use appropriate visuals. In addition, they will learn how to handle questions posed and respond appropriately to them.

Entry Requirements

Applicants applying for modular units which are drawn from existing full diploma or post-diploma programmes will have the same minimum entry requirements as the full qualifications.
