Course Overview

The subject provides an overview of the relations between supply chain management and logistics management, and their impact on the success of organisations.

 

The subject focuses on the major functional components in a supply chain and explains how they interact with one another in contributing to the success of a business organisation. The application of technology will also be emphasised, as technology is a key driver of business operations in the supply chain.

 

 

Objectives

 

The subject aims to equip students with knowledge and skills to:

  • Analyse the importance and interactions of supply chain management for the purpose of meeting end-customers’ requirements.
  • Identify the role of Information Technology (IT) in supply chain management.
  • Apply technology to facilitate supply chain management.

Entry Requirements

Applicants applying for modular units which are drawn from existing full diploma or post-diploma programmes will have the same minimum entry requirements as the full qualifications.
