The course discusses the principles and practices of sustainability with an emphasis on integrated design process for high-performance buildings. The design parameters of building systems and system integration for energy efficiency and healthy indoor environment quality is covered. This includes evaluation techniques to identify performance failures followed by documentation for corrective and preventive action in the life cycle of a building.

Upon successful completion of the modular unit, students will be awarded a Statement of Result which can count towards the attainment of the Specialist Diploma in Energy Management and Sustainable Design.
