Dr Myriam Baranger-Ete
Dr. Myriam Baranger-Ete graduated from Maisons-Alfort National Veterinary University (France) in 1998 then completed a year externship at the Equine hospital of the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine of Saint-Hyacinthe, University of Montreal (Canada). She completed her thesis with honours in equine locomotor pathology and diagnostic ultrasound in 1999. A move to Hong Kong in 1999 brought her back to Canine and Feline Medicine, and she completed the Distance Education Sonology Course with the Post-Graduation Foundation of the University of Sydney in 2008 as well as a European Master of Small Animal Veterinary Medicine with the ESAVS (European School for Advanced Veterinary Studies), University of Luxemburg. During this training, Dr Myriam realized that an early and accurate diagnosis was key for any therapeutic success, and she became passionate and obsessed about Diagnostics since then.
Working alongside a specialized ultrasonographer for five years, she gained valuable and extensive experience in small animal abdominal and cardiac ultrasound; and co-founded Hong Kong first mobile veterinary ultrasound service (in 2013) and first Veterinary specialty laboratory (in 2014), to support the local veterinary community with their Diagnostics needs.
Dr Myriam enjoys her time teaching other veterinarians ultrasound techniques, giving seminars, workshops and courses around Asia and overseas (particularly in Australia where her family was relocated in 2018). She is an active member of the International Veterinary Ultrasound Society, of the European Society of Veterinary Cardiology and recently joined the Australasian Association of Veterinary Diagnostics Imaging.
In love with Asia after 20 years working in the region, Myriam is thrilled to now support the Singapore veterinary community by providing mobile ultrasound consultations and ultrasound education services together with Singapore Veterinary Imaging’s dedicated team.
