Ms Ho Sock Yee
Sock Yee is a registered Architect, Universal Design Assessor and Educator. During her practice as an architect, she managed different types of projects ranging from commercial, institutions, religious, mixed-used, industrial developments, interior fit-out works, conservation buildings and retrofitting of existing buildings. She was greatly involved in the designing of three mosques in Singapore before she joined as an educator and worked very closely with various communities in Singapore. She led and directed all architectural design aspect and statutory requirement in universal design in her practice.
She also introduced the appreciation of Universal Design in the subject of Space Planning as part of the course curriculum when she joins as a lecturer in Temasek Polytechnic.
She is currently serving as a Council Member in Singapore Institute of Architects (SIA), working within the Practice & Education Thrust to transform the profession at a fundamental level and to become thought leaders on how the profession serve and stay relevant to society.
