Course Overview

This workshop would equip participants with the skills in utilising the Singapore Smart Industry Readiness Index (SIRI) as a diagnostics tool in assessing a company’s position and maturity in advanced manufacturing. There would also be guidance on applying the TIER framework and Prioritization Matrix in identifying the gaps and opportunities for planning and implementing suitable advanced manufacturing projects that could bring significant values to companies in a systematic manner. SWOT Analysis would also be introduced to the participants as an effective presentation technique of the assessment outcomes.

Participants should have relevant working experiences in manufacturing sector.

Day 1

Application of Smart Industry Readiness Index as a diagnostic tool

Day 2

Effective presentation technique of SIRI assessment

  • SWOT Analysis
  • Cost and Effect Analysis

 

The Manufacturing Transformation Insights Report 2019

  • The current state of industrial transformation across key manufacturing industries in Singapore
  • Insights with reference to the three building blocks of SIRI namely Process, Technology, and Organisation

1.00 pm – 5.00 pm

Stepping through the SIRI assessment process

  • Develop an engagement plan with assessment objectives and scope 
  • Identification of participating stakeholders, assessment Timeline, project deliverables 
  • Perform accurate and timely assessment of current state of manufacturing facility 
  • Evaluate the facility across the 16 dimensions
  • Cross-validate and verify the reporting and interpretation of dimensions banding by participants 
  • Generate a report after the SIRI assessment that include: 
    • Band Scores of the facility across the 16 dimensions
    • Prioritised Dimensions for the facility
    • SWOT Analysis and interpretation of the results

 

Written Assessment (Open Book)

 

 

Certification

 

Participants will be issued with a Certificate of Accomplishment upon meeting 75% of the required course attendance.
