Pharmaceutical Science has to do with learning about how the medications work in the body to treat illnesses. So a fair aspect of the course would deal with biology and chemistry. Students who do not have GCE O level Biology or Chemistry may need to adapt at the beginning but as long as they are keen, lecturers are always there to assist them. The School conducts bridging classes in Biology and Chemistry before the commencement of the semester for students who do not have strong Biology or Chemistry background at the GCE O level.
TP’s Diploma in Pharmaceutical Science offers various subjects that will provide you with essential knowledge to prepare you as a pharmaceutical technologist. However, if you want to be a full-fledged pharmacist, you need to obtain a Degree in Pharmacy. The National University of Singapore and various universities in United Kingdom and Australia recognise TP’s diploma as eligible entry requirements. TP PHS graduates enjoy advanced standing in the top Australian universities offering Pharmacy degree programmes recognised by the Singapore Pharmacy Council.
