At Temasek Polytechnic School of Business, we are doing our part in nurturing the entrepreneurial spirit in our students. From 2005, every student in School of Business will go through a compulsory course, Basics of Entrepreneurship, where they will be exposed to the key elements of entrepreneurship.
The subject introduces first year students to the basic concepts of entrepreneurship. Basics of Entrepreneurship examines the traits of successful entrepreneurs and the basic elements of generating new business ideas. It serves as a foundation upon which students can embark on continuing further studies in entrepreneurship and participation in projects and other entrepreneurial activities.
In addition, all diplomas have either specialised entrepreneurship subjects or entrepreneurship related content embedded in their subjects, including Practice of Entrepreneurship, Franchising Business and Strategic Entrepreneurship.
Lecturers specialising in the area of entrepreneurship conduct talks to secondary school students to share knowledge with them and stimulate their interest in the topic.
