The School of Business focuses on forging strong links with the industry through project collaborations and research opportunities. Close industry ties have allowed TP to stay relevant in manpower training. Our lecturers are also involved in a range of industry specific consultancy projects. The strong industry relationships ensure that the School of Business keeps its curriculum real, relevant, and rewarding through the following key areas of focus:

Professional Development

The School of Business, through the Temasek SkillsFuture Academy (TSA), is committed to providing practical re-skilling and professional development to adult learners. Excellence in a constantly evolving business environment requires new knowledge and skills to be embraced. TSA is a strategic partner in serving human resource staff development needs of organisations. This is achieved by the joint mapping of training needs, customization of training programmes for staff, and organisation competence development, as well as through advisory on funding support.

Some of the key areas of expertise include para-legal and law, personal development, entrepreneurship, etiquette, finance, human resources, leadership and hospitality and tourism management.

The School prides itself on having trained staff from diverse areas such as the Accounting & Corporate Regulatory Authority, Singapore Police Force, ST Engineering Ltd, FJ Benjamin and The Law Society of Singapore.

Consultancy Programme

Besides providing structured training for staff in the workforce, the School also provides technical and research services to the industry, government and multilateral agencies both in Singapore and abroad.

Centrally coordinated by TSA, this effort harnesses the technical expertise of lecturers from various diplomas who develop consultancy programmes to fit the needs of our partner organisations. Some of our past clients include Starhub Pte Ltd, Singapore Technologies Logistics Pte Ltd, Ministry of Defence, Triumph International, Royal Sporting House and ST Electronics Group.

Continuing Education & Training

Each part-time diploma comprises five separate Modular Certificates (MCs). Each Certificate focuses on a specific area of expertise, enabling participants to acquire knowledge for effective job performance. Upon completion of the relevant MCs, each participant is conferred a Diploma qualification from Temasek Polytechnic. In addition, we offer many other modules in line with the SkillsFuture framework.
