Third-year Interactive Media Design (IMD) student, Ravi Moorthy, took home the only award in the Student Creative Award category at the prestigious Spikes Asia – Festival of Creativity, also known as Asia’s Cannes. Held on 26 September 2014, the awards ceremony celebrated winners of competitions that saw creative projects in various media and communication fields across Asia Pacific.
TP’s School of Design, not one to shy away from international competitions, submitted 10 student projects for the Student Creative Award category. Facing immense competition from several countries in the region, Ravi’s print advertising project for The Sovereign Art Foundation in Singapore, a charity which uses the arts to aid disadvantaged children, stood out amongst the many competitors to clinch this award. He was honoured the Student Creative Award for Print (sponsored by Y&R) at the Grand Theatre, Marina Bay Sands. Coincidently Ravi, a digital student, not only fulfilled a brief for a print advertising competition, he even went on to win it, thus showcasing his versatility as a design student.
Congratulations Ravi! You have done us proud!
