Combating Cyber Crime

Sayed Hamzah, an IIT alumnus, was the first Polytechnic student from Singapore to be selected for attachment to INTERPOL in France as part of the Polytechnic’s Overseas Student Internship Programme (OSIP). In fact, at 19, he was the youngest intern in INTERPOL when he was there. Tapping on his reliability and resourcefulness, INTERPOL, assigned Hamzah to the Information Security Incident Response Team where he was tasked to perform malicious code analysis as well as penetration testing on the wireless network in the General Secretariat.
