Security Consultants - Building the Security Industry of the Future

Security consultants play an important role in the security industry, and their roles are becoming increasingly critical as Outcome-Based Contracting (“OBC”) and Integrated Facilities Management (“IFM”) gain tractions. With the manpower shortage in the industry, there is a need for the adoption of technology to reduce the reliance on manpower. This will lead to a growing demand for comprehensive risk assessments and outcome-aligned strategies to enhance security measures. Security consultants are therefore pivotal in advancing the adoption of OBCs, thus ensuring that the industry moves towards tenders that prioritises specific outcomes and results.

    Unlocking Optimal Security Productivity

In an ever-evolving world, the concept of interoperability has become increasingly crucial in the field of Physical Security Information Management (PSIM), which was initially introduced to the realm of physical security in 2006. While PSIM has been present for some time, its integration into the Singapore Security landscape has gained prominence more recently, particularly as property owners seek to harness the capabilities of PSIM in conjunction with Building Management Systems (BMS).

BMS has long been a fundamental tool for facility managers, playing a central role in overseeing Integrated Facility Management (IFM) operations. In this context, let's delve deeper into how the interoperability of PSIM and IFM operations can synergise to ensure optimal security productivity and efficiencies.
