Financial Assistance Schemes

There are a number of financial assistance schemes at TP, and students requiring financial assistance for their education are strongly advised to take up the Tuition Fee Loan Scheme from DBS Bank which provides a loan of up to 75% of the tuition fees.

Should they require additional financial assistance, there are several bursary schemes available and they may apply for the most suitable bursary that they qualify for.

As a general rule, students may only receive one bursary for each academic year. In addition to the Tuition Fee Loan Scheme and bursaries, there are other financial assistance schemes for students.

How to apply?

  1. Login to TPOSS with your student ID
  2. Go to TPOSS – Other Services (Student Admin) – Bursary Application
  3. Submit your application online with supporting documents (in JPG, JPEG, PNG and PDF only)

Important Note:

  1. Applicant needs to submit only one application per AY – type of bursary awarded is based on PCI / family financial factors.
  2. Applications with inaccurate information and/or not accompanied by supporting documents will NOT be processed.
  3. If you have problem accessing TPOSS, please contact ITSM at 6780 5933 or walk-in at East Wing Block 1A Level 4 (EW1A-04-02).

  • Family financial factor(s) are key selection criteria for award
  • Shortlisted applicants may have to attend an interview and financial assessment

Definition:

  1. Gross Monthly Household Income (GHI) will be computed based on:

    1. Gross monthly income of immediate family member, including both parents who may or may not be living together with applicant; and
    2. Gross monthly income of non-immediate family members, including grandparents, siblings, spouses of siblings, siblings of parents, and any other relatives who are living together with the applicant.

    This includes:

    • Employee’s CPF contributions*
    • Income contributions^ from self-employment / business
    • Salaried employment which include basic salary, allowances and overtime pay
    • Other sources of income such as rent, pensions, etc

    Note:

    1. National Service (NS) allowance earned by NSF and alimony/maintenance from divorced/separated parent or spouse are excluded.

  2. Gross Monthly Per Capita Income (PCIwill be computed based on:
    Total GHI divide by the family headcount which includes the applicant, immediate family members (who may or may not live together with the applicant) and non-immediate family members (who live together with the applicant).

  1. Communication & Media Management (BUS)
  2. Digital Film & Television (DES)

 

  • Singapore Citizen or Permanent Resident

  • Has a permanent disability OR is a full-time student (aged 25 and below)

  • Gross monthly household income must not exceed $3,400 OR per capita income must not exceed $900. If there is a permanently disabled household member, per capita income must not exceed $1,125.

  • Past recipient of a PC-Bundle under the NEU PC Plus Programme may reapply only after a lapse of three (3) years from last deployment to the household.
  1. Complete the Notebook Grant Scheme application form

  2. Completed application form with supporting documents to be sealed in envelope, labelled with ‘Notebook Grant Scheme Application’ and submitted via the Drop-In-Box located outside Student Services (next to AXS Station).

  • Year 2 & 3 Student in AY2018:
