Joint Message from our Chairman and Principal & CEO

Despite COVID-19 continuing to rage on throughout much of this reporting year, Temasek Polytechnic (TP) held fast to our mission of preparing school-leavers and working adults for a future of dynamic change. In this report for the financial year ending 31 March 2022, our Chairman, Mr Lee Kok Choy, and Principal & CEO, Mr Peter Lam, highlight TP’s efforts, initiatives and developments to help our community emerge stronger from this pandemic.

Temasek Polytechnic General Education Fund

Temasek Polytechnic (TP) strives to ensure that all its students are able to enjoy a well-rounded education regardless of their financial background, and to reward exceptional talent and contributions. To achieve this, a TP General Education Fund (TPGEF) was set up on 1 April 2003 with the following objectives:

  • To provide scholarship, bursaries and other aid schemes to students;
  • To support student education-related projects/activities;
  • To support student and staff exchange with industry and other institutions;
  • To bring renowned experts, lecturers and speakers to TP;
  • To provide seed funding to set up centres of excellence in strategic areas of teaching and research;
  • To promote the continuous training and development of staff; and
  • To do all things necessary or appropriate to promote and fulfil the mission of TP.
