Students from the Diploma in Hospitality & Tourism Management (HTM) emerged 4th position at the Asian Federation of Exhibition and Convention Associations (AFECA) Asia MICE Youth Challenge 2019 held in Manila, Philippines on 10 Oct 2019.

 Organised by AFECA, the annual challenge requires teams of 4 students to present a novel event and showcase their country/region as the best MICE destination. As the Champion of the Singapore MICE Challenge 2019, Chu Qi Hong, Jerry Soo, Genevieve Chua and Belinda Loh were sponsored by the Singapore Association of Convention & Exhibition Organisers & Suppliers (SACEOS) as the only polytechnic team to compete with 19 other teams from universities in China, Hong Kong, India, Indonesia, Japan, Macau, Malaysia, Philippines, Taiwan and Thailand. The HTM team emerged 4th position with a Special Recognition Award.
