As Singapore transitions to the new Post-Secondary Admissions Exercise (PSE) next year,

Students taking the Singapore-Cambridge Secondary Education Certificate (SEC) examination from 2027 onwards can progress on to Polytechnic education through different pathways, depending on their subject levels and examination results.

Full Subject-Based Banding for G2 Post-Secondary Admissions Exercise (PSE)
#Depending on your SEC results, you may also be eligible to apply for ITE Higher Nitec courses.


Minimum Entry Requirements

Achieve a gross ELMAB3 aggregrate score (before deducting CCA bonus points),
computed using G2 scores, of 12 points or below.
Full Subject-Based Banding for G2 Minimum Entry Requirements (MERs)
Each PFP cluster has subject-specific requirements, including minimum grades for English Language and other subjects.

Please refer to the PFP application guide for the Minimum Entry Requirements for individual PFP cluster/courses.

 

For students taking mainly G3 SEC subjects.

Your Two Application Pathways
1. Early Admission Exercise (EAE)*

Full Subject-Based Banding for G3 Early Admission Exercise (EAE) Pathway
*Placement in the EAE-posted course will be confirmed upon meeting the diploma's Minimum Entry Requirements (MERs)

2. Post-Secondary Admissions Exercise (PSE)*

Full Subject-Based Banding for G3 Post-Secondary Admissions Exercise (PSE) Pathway
*Depending on your SEC results, you may also eligble to apply to the PFP, Junior Colleages, Millenia Institute and ITE HIgher Nitec courses.


 

Minimum Entry Requirements (MERs)

Achieve a net ELR2B2 aggregrate score (after deducting CCA bonus points) of 22 points or below.
ELR2 subjects and the 1st Best Subject are computing using G3 scores, while the 2nd Best Subject is computed using G2 scores.
